- About Me
- I am the Secretary of the recreated garrison regiment for the castles and walls of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Regimiento Fijo de Puerto Rico has as its mission to educate on the events and culture of 18th century Puerto Rico. Every year we commemorate the Defense of San Juan during the British Siege of 1797. This two and a half week battle covers a large extension of land with locations still intact that need to be protected.
- Why do you oppose a casino in Gettysburg?
- The land around Gettysburg must be protected from encroachment by improper development which would destroy the aspect of the battlefield. In San Juan, battlefields are in the middle of a highly developed urban center. Unlike at Gettysburg, the original aspect of the San Juan battlefields has been lost. There is still time for Gettysburg.
