Opposition to a proposed casino 1/2 mile from the Gettysburg NMP
Today's 7/21/11 Patriot-News reported that $355,000 in fines were levied on violators of the state gaming laws by the PA Gaming Control Board. Hollywood Casino, for the 2nd time since its license was renewed in January, 2010, was one of the entities fined. In October 2010, Hollywood was fined a total of $40,000 for 3 violations.

A Nemacolin Resort spokesman indicated they are "shovel ready" and plan to open in 2014.
